History

1925: The organ was installed in the Cameo Theatre, Cleveland, USA.

c1930: After a fire, the organ was reposed by Wurlitzer and given a new 3 manual coupler console.

1934: On 22nd November the Forum Cinema, Wythenshawe Nr Manchester was opened with the refurbished 3c/8 Wurlitzer played by Kevin Buckley.

1964: The cinema was re-named ABC.

1972: The Organ was sold and acquired by the Burton Corporation for installation in the Town Hall. The Wurlitzer was installed by Walkers.

1973: On Easter Monday 23rd April, John Bee officially opened the Wurlitzer.

1984: The Clarinet was swapped out for the Ex-ABC/Regal Hull Conacher Trumpet. (Clarinet now installed on the Wurlitzer at the Buttermarket, Shrewsbury)

Post 1984: The replacement of the Wurlitzer relays and introduction of a Solid State transmission system. This meant Quint & Tierce (Blackpool) couplers & a MIDI Piano were added. Michael Thompson started to look after and re-leather the Wurlitzer.
