History
1927: Almira Theatre, Cleveland, Ohio USA was opened 29th August.
1934: The organ was taken back to Wurlitzer where it was shipped over to the UK and installed in the Rex Cinema, Stratford. The cinema opened on 5th November with Sandy Macpherson at the Wurlitzer.
1969: The building converted to bingo use. David England lead work on the Wurlitzer and made it playable for concerts and recordings.
1974: Bingo stopped and the Wurlitzer was removed and solder to Charles Davidson who placed it into storage.
2010: Members of the Furness Theatre Organ Project bought the Wurlitzer.
2012: Following some restoration the Wurlitzer re-opened on 6th October with a gala event featuring Chris Powell, David Shepherd and David Ivory.
